4.25 stars gruvermom I hadn't even gotten to chapter one and this book had me crying. While Aidan & Jessie's story is beautiful, it is filled with so much pain and angst. I was very glad that their feelings weren't dragged out (does he know how I feel, does he feel the same, etc.) They had a LOT to work on before they could even think of being in a relationship. They each have painful pasts that come back to haunt them and they have to find the str. Amazon Customer said Highly recommend. This was such a great book I just had to come back and re read it two days later! My heart broke for these men, but they were so wonderful to be around. For those worried about the triggers, they happen in flashback, and issues were actually dealt with, which was nice to see. Read this book if you like stories of healing, love and poster worthy quotes. "Love from the ruins" according to Dara J. Nelson. Are some people destined to endure horrible things? Maybe. Is it possible for those people to claw their way out of the darkness? With the help of the right person, absolutely. Aidan & Jessie - each helped the other to fight their demons and find love.
