The 5-Stars Are Based on Prof Evans' Work as a Text, Not a Primer. Flatus Ohlfahrt Professor Evans died as he was finishing-up the manuscript for this book. It certainly strikes me as being the main text for a sophomore elective course on Plato in a good liberal arts college---not a primer for the casual reader wishing to learn or explore Plato and his world. For that use, I would give it 2-Stars; it is certainly not an easy read for even the well educated individual years separated from an academic environment.I give Professor Evans the benefit of experience that he would have altered the marketing focus of the work to
