Excellent and very informative book by an author that is Excellent and very informative book by an author that is very knowledgable about the subject. I have personally known Walt McCall for over 30 years and have many other copies of his books. I bought this book as a gift for a friend who is a firefighter for the City of Detroit. He likes to take this to work so they can look at some of the older rigs that Detroit has had over the years.. American Fire Equipment The best one source cataloging I have found. I wish it was printed on slick paper though, as the photos do suffer from a lack of chrispness. It is a good basic piece for anyone needing to quickly reference a particular type of old engine. I find it most helpful. The price was right as well, finding it on one of the numerous used seller list provided..
