Ancient Warrior said First book Ive really enjoyed and actually finished in awhile. I usually avoid any books that deal with the military or law enforcement because authors just get it wrong. I saw the positive reviews but still avoided this book until I was able to get it from the library. I was so pleasantly surprised was a well written book it was with a great story. I read a lot and lately all the books seem the same, so much so that I lightly re. Astrid said Well done!. Meghan O'Brien has yet to write a book that I don't like; though this one is a bit different. You won't find much erotica in 'Battle Scars'. Which is a good thing cause it wouldn't fit the story.The author does a really good job of describing Ray McKenna's various symptoms and her problems of everyday life. She handles this character with the appropriate sensitivity.T
