Journey of Faith I found Rev Sundby's book, Calling the Rainbow Nation Home, one of the best Christian books I have ever read and I have read quite a few. Rev Sundby is obviously a person who takes her commitment to Christ very seriously and she did not approach the topic of being Gay and Christian lightly when she set out to discover for herself why she felt the way she did.Her journey through her life of faith is quite different from my own. I originally embraced the gay life wholeheartedly from the outset with no reservations because it seemed right and I di. Wave Tossed said Wonderful book inspired by God. I am a Lesbian Episcopalian. So Rev. Sundby's evangelical style of Christianity is a bit different from my own. Still, I read this book with rapt attention and joyfulness. I gained such hope from Rev. Sundby's spiritual struggles and triumphs. It seems so simple: Jesus gave us Two Great Commandments: Love your God and Love your neighbor as yourself; on these Two Commandments rest all of the laws of the Prophets. Jesus didn't say, "love your neighbor only if she/he is not Gay." He never told us that any form of love can ever be a sin. Rev. Sundby. S said Wish I could have read this "Wish I could have read this 20 years ago" according to S. There are very few gay christians who do not go through a struggle between their faith and their sexuality. This books explains everything, is easy to read, and is not boring. I recommend this for everyone to readbe they gay or not. In this book, God is glorified, and the integrity of scripture upheld.. 0 years ago.
