You get a great sense of Burton's curiosity as his interest in the cold case spanned several decades. Burton's position in DSS put him in a special place to be involved in the tangled intersection of criminal and counterterrorist investigations. The book gives glances into the secret intersections of politics, policy, intelligence operations, and state sponsored terrorism. Burton's book does a great job of unravelling a mystery which involves Maryland suburban cops, war heroes, clandestine intelligence op. The Old Hunter said Great read!!.
