Courtship is a well-paced book with a great storyline, that has kept me hooked from the first minute to the last. Taite effortlessly places smart women in high-achieving positions and lets these characters grow, while, at the same time, providing a sophisticated plot. I especially enjoyed the fascinating insight into the White House procedures of selecting a Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. This setting alone was worth the read.Unfortunately, I felt that the relationship between the two women could have been developed a little deeper. To be . J Johnson said Political drama and super emotional tensions make this a definite winner!. This is one really fine story. I felt as if I were right in the middle of a major political battle to get a relatively unknown woman appointed to the most important court position in the land. Levels upon levels plus twists and turns, including a passionate entanglement adding a spectacular underscore, as the lovers meld and re-meld multiple times. I would have to say this is a classic page turner and I totally enjoyed the high-spirited elements that may always surround key political battles.
