DESCRIPTION:
Book by Broek, D.
"An Excellent Book" according to A Customer. It is certainly one of the best books on Fracture Mechanics. The book is very well structured for graduate level courses. Also, unlike a lot of books on Fracture Mechanics, the concepts are presented with an emphasis on their practical applications.. Good Introduction into Fracture Mechanics Aroguy Pros:Broek is an expert in presenting complex engineering material in a easy to read format. He has struck a nice chord in this book to not drown the reader in complex mathematical derivations, but convey the important aspects and pitfalls. I used this book as a supplement to my graduate level fracture mechanic. "Workmanlike" according to Brian A. Clarke. Takes you through the basics of fracture mechanics in a systematic way. Good for undergraduate work. Bought it for my daughter - and now she's reminding me of stuff I forgot Workmanlike Brian A.
