My favorite book of all time Ivy Lane This book has everything. Beautifully written, funny, riveting, educational, fascinating. The entire adventure is enthralling. The book changes the perspective on ocean travel and makes sailing on anything but a raft seem sterile and senseless.. Michael M Carberry said This book told the authors story of the voyage across. This book told the authors story of the voyage across the Pacific, but at times went into too much length and detail in his sell of global transmigration. A worthwhile read though for story of the voyage from a historical perspective though.. "Discovering the ocean" according to keith r rawes. good stuff - well written, factual account of the preparations for the voyage across the pacific, the voyage itself and the beliefs and thinking that inspired it. Recommended.
