An unexpected joy to read. Contains many pictures from private collections that one hasn't seen before. The essays are interesting, insightful and sometimes touching. If you like Maurice Sendak, you will love this book.. Learning so much more of Sendak Hal Z. Bennett This is an extraordinary collection and tribute to Sendak. Not only does it have a wide variety of his art work, but it covers a life I knew so little about. I look forward to sharing it with my grandchildren..
