The statuary was carved out of marble, not pink granite as the author states.. "Beauty of Architecture" according to H. Voelker. Every time I take this book into my hands I get sad and angry that Penn Station was demolished.William Low and his unique and more than beautiful illustrations reveal the beauty of architecture.
