"Opened my eyes" according to Matt Mintz. Though I received this book at a seminar that Patrick Carnes gave, I would definitely purchase it. His talk was fantastic, discussing broader implications and causes of addiction and is largely duplicated in this book. In it he describes what is necessary to live a successful rewarding life in recovery. F. Winning work! Patrick Carnes hits it out of the park with this outstanding, well outlined, fascinating book that certainly will lead to changes that last as promised. Get to know yourself much better in the areas with which you struggle on a daily basis and find tools to overcome your most resistant issues.. Good effort for intermediate recovery work Jim T This is not a beginner's book, in my opinion. I have worked thru several of Carnes' workbook's as part of my recovery work. But these exercises and data are appropriate for the audience he suggests that he is trying to reach. All in all a good effort.
