In addition to being generally in the Male/Male romance category, this is great literature. She masters the art of "showing, not telling" in her fiction. Details of dialogue, character actions and reactions let us see what the characters' motivations, fears and values are.By 2016 standards, the M/M interaction is very subtle but nevertheless clear.. "An early icebreaker novel" according to Richard. Recognizing the historical value of this novel, it was, nonetheless, difficult to understand the British argot throughout the book.
