NOT a substitute for the standards and codes in the BOK Derek Johnson But a perfect COMPLIMENT to the BOK (API 510 body of knowledge) to prepare you for the exam. Passed 1st time through; this book pointed out the noteworthy things that you WILL find on the exam. Recommended.. "Good toolwatch out for overpricing." according to Jimmy Ganann. This book is a great little study guide for inspectors looking to obtain their pressure vessel certificate. I have seen some reviews that said this book alone gave the test taker the ability to pass. Not true! Do not solely use this book to study. It is a great addition to your study material and should only be used to supplement your study habits. Also, be aware that API codes are revised and new editions come out frequently. The copy I have is for the 9th edition of API 510, and currently the test covers the 10th edition.
