A "must have" to learn how soaring work This is an oldie but goodie. The book describes from the very beginning the how and why both the aircraft and the airfield systems work. The graphics though now look old, describe perfectly what will be happening when you fly. This is a book you can apply in the air. It also offers very good practical m.eterology It is well written, it is chunk sized so perfect for the beginner and the expert to go back and refresh. "Good book for the student pilot" according to A Customer. This book is a good guide for the student pilot. As an alternative plese also check out the Reichmann books. "Beginning Gliding" according to John H. Lee. This book was like new; the spine wasn't even cracked. Considering that the book is out of print, I feel fortunate to even get it, let alone in such a timely manner.
