The book arrived promptly, and it appeared to be new until I opened the front cover. Inside was a handwritten dedication from the author on the first blank page, together with another handwritten note from the author on a white piece of paper. I don't know if the dedication and note increase or decrease the value, but the book wasn't exactly 'new' as advertised. Unused may have been a better description, because the condition was
