"Wonderful kick-ass police detective story and fine supporting cast!" according to J Johnson. I love kick-ass police detectives especially when they're women. This book contains a superior specimen of the breed. In addition, there are a host of wonderful characters in this story supporting and enhancing the primary focus of the lead detectives on a really grisly murder investigation. However, it is a serendipitous meeting of a currently suspended detective and her home improvement contractor that sets the scene for love and terror. I most certa. Raven said Really.
