Surprisingly Encouraging First off, I'd like to mention that I did not order this book because it interested me, I ordered it because Dr. Moorer offers an essay scholarship on the book. I expected either a boring, tedious account of professional terms and lengthy ledgers or some cheesy chumped-up pep talk (the kind that makes a person ill). I should also point out that my notes for this may be jaded over by the fact that I was VERY depressed at the time of reading this and had basically given up on finishing college.I will not lie to you and tell you there are no cheesy 'god lov. Cancilloni said Great story, poor editing!. I was astonished by the terrible editing of this book, but at the same time I was compelled to keep reading (in hopes it would get better). The story did get better and better, but the editing remained sucky (to coin a phrase).I would like to see this book RE-Edited so I could re-read it without feeling like I need to take out my red pen and mark up all the errors. Being a language professor does that to me!. Failure Does Not Equal Defeat A series of adverse circumstances and failures began to take a toll on my spirit and my confidence.
