"Very Sketchy Overview" according to Sylvio Bistafa. Very sketchy overview, but it is OK if it is only that what you are looking for.. A Customer said Historical episodes but without physical insight.. I bought this book hoping for an undemanding, intuitive, intro to fluid physics. Was sorely disappointed. The author does highlight some curious episodes in the history of fluids, and agitates for the priority claims of certain under-rated scientists. He does quote from some of the seminal papers, e.g., those of Archimedes, Newton, etc. But his comme. Nice but incomplete A very nice history of fluids and the scientists whohave studied and marveled about fluids. Its onlyreal shortcoming is that it was written in 1971 andso many fascinating subjects are therefore missing. This book contains a handfull of equations, mostsimple but a differential equation appears here andthere, too.
