SINGULAR PEI Shannon Deason When I think of I.M. Pei, elegant persision come to mind, his is an artistic engineer's approach to architecture. While, I must confess, I prefer Richard Meier, Renzo Piano, and Calatrava to Pei, he still stands out as one of the great architects of the last 25 years. This book is fantastic tribute to this soft spoken, elegant man. The text is scholarly, but not dry and the images really capture the thrill of Pei's artistic engineering. Pei's best work, the Grand Lourve and the National Gallery are given their pride of place in this book, as are some of his lesser known works, this book truly is co. Guillermo M.
