Not particularly useful rsd22 Disappointingly generic. Reads like a dictionary or a wikipedia article. Many of the chapters reveal such wisdom as 'Ceilings are formed by the undersides of floor and roof structures.' There is some useful ergonomic data and standard building dimensions, but really nothing that couldn't be obtained by a simple Google search.. beautifully illustrated book Super Duper This book is amazingly illustrated. It really captured my imagination and sparked a lot of creativity in me. I'm not a design professional nor student but merely a homeowner going through my first home renovation. The drawings present the concepts in such a great way that resonates even with a layperson like me. This really made me appreciate the design discussions I am having with my architect and interior designers. If i was an architecture or interior design student, I would hope that this book . Harriet Kossmann said Great starter book, the basics. I'm in second year interior architecture and this book was great in every aspect to understand. From ergonomics, materials,colour construction drawings and so on. Really recommended. Will be a book to stay in my collection.
