DESCRIPTION:
Required Textbook Not the greatest at explaining the topics with clarity, however, the treatment is thorough enough. If one is seeking a personal reference then it may be better suited for those with an advanced understanding.. Don't buy qotd_host This book needs more explanations for the worked-out examples and better clarifications for the sections. Plus, while having a lot of practice problems is good, this book has way too many--200 for some chapters! And they need to be grouped better for students in classes that don't cover every section of each chapter.. Not recommended I do not recommend this book; it is very poorly written and hard to follow. It is really impossible to learn from it.
One of the bestselling texts in the field, Introduction to Fluid Mechanics continues to provide students with a balanced and comprehensive approach to mastering critical concepts. It starts with basic equations, then clearly states assumptions, and finally, relates results to expected physical behavior. The new eighth edition once again incorporates a proven problem solving methodology that will help students develop an orderly plan to finding the right solution. Many of the steps involved in analysis are simplified by using Excel.
