She Pulled Off this Gorgeous Style Antoinette French Design I love her style. From the Gunne Sak maxi dresses I had in high school, to her stunning house in San Francisco, Jessica McClintock is amazing in her design ability. Not too many can top her romantic style, and I have MANY design/decorating books. She is very creative. I am not a fan of painting authentic French antiques, we prefer to keep ours waxed in their walnut glory. But, she has pulled it off in her house with her grand, but unassuming style. This is the book to sit in a cozy chair with a glass of wine, and an hour or two to yourself, and enjoy.. VERY ROMANTIC Marie Antoinette Jessica McClintock's Victorian home in San Francisco is a reflection of her Romantic style as a fashion designer. No one can argue that her charming home is beautifully decorated but I found that all the rooms pretty much looked the same. She favors monochromatic color schemes and personally I found the rooms boring after a while when you see the same color scheme page after page. But regardless, the book is beautifully illustrated and she gives tips throughout the book as well as additional information in the back of the book on how to create a Romantic look..
