DESCRIPTION:
Um, no content! This book consists of a title page, a publisher page and the back cover. There is no text or illustrations. Do not reward this publisher with a purchase.. Modern, in 1886 Excellent book for anyone designing steam engines. Since the time period that the book was written was at the pinnacle of steam engine design, everything is just as relevant today as it was then. The only steam engine designs that weren't in the book were uniflow and turbine engines, both. Jonathan J. Peer said I am not an engineer. Great for reference, but not a book that is easy to understand. It seem to be written for engineers - vector analysis, etc. etc. It offers solid mathematical analysis of seemingly most every aspect of a steam engine, not subjective opinion like some other books of the same era.
An Unabridged, Unaltered Edition To Include All 422 Original Engravings - An Elementary Treatise On The Steam Engine, Written In Plain Language; For Use In The Workshop As Well As In The Drawing Office Giving Full Explanations Of The Construction Of Modern Steam Engines -
