Betty Lou has done better I have purchased just about all of this author's books, and I find this one a bit disappointing. I purchase desgin books as reference material, and I prefer to see entire rooms illustrated, not just the details. I certainly appreciate antique hardware as works of art, but I don't want to see close-up shots of them in a book, I can view those on-line. I gave this book three stars because it is beautifully written, and the photos are great, but the overall content left me feeling disappointed.. Too large - not enough new content. Cherie C.
