Bagnard lives in France with his wife and two sons.. Laurent Bagnard is the founder and chief editor of PowerGlide Magazine. He published Cheatersville in 2004, which profiled one of Europe’s most innovative car clubs. After seeing the Burbank Choppers building a hot rod on RIDES, he flew to California and started talking with them about old metal and soul, rock music, and beat literature. Nice pictures, but otherwise lacking Bought this book from Keith Weesner's table at a show. Several nice pictures in it, but the text was lacking. Readable, but did not seem to have a lot of substance and was very forgettable. There are lots of other books out there on the subject with better photos and/or better stories that are a much better read. Realistically, I would not buy this book again unless it was $5 or less a a garage sale. Not horrible, but for the money there are lots of others that are ten times better.. This Book Is A Waste Remember how you felt reading Henry Felsen's Hot Rod and Street Rod as a kid? This book isn't going to make you feel like that. You know how you can stare at the best pictures from Rolling Stone magazine and feel you know Bruce Springsteen personally? This book isn't like that, either.In fact, this book is almost a complete failure. It fails those who know and love the Burbank Choppers and those who'd like to.I hoped I'd feel a connection to the club or get a sense of who they were and what their lives were like. The photos
