If you are looking just for facts and figures and nuts and bolts, this isn't the best literary vehicle for you, but if you want to experience that search for speed that gets under the skin and brings people back to this barren piece of salt year after year, this book is about the visceral experience of being out on an expanse of salt, bringing all of your equipment and everything you need to life for a week or two and trying out a car that you designed and developed fo.
