Helpful Very good reference for technique and loads of info.. "Unimpressed" according to Kristin Chase. As a student, I was expecting more for a text book. Most of my other text books went into further detail about the subjects, and even with the DVD. I learned more about Deep Tissue in my Trigger Point Class, than I learned in Deep Tissue. It was a real good thing I took both classes in the same quarter. This book didn't feel as put together as other books in the curriculum. If you are a beginner in Massage, I would encourage you to get another book, or at least more than one book if you have this one. So you have something with a little more detail.
Routines are outlined step-by-step and clearly describe exactly what therapists need to do to treat a particular condition. The bulk of the book presents treatment routines for the 22 most commonly encountered neuromuscular conditions. Presented in a clear and easy-to-use format, this book provides basic assessment of neuromuscular conditions and an overview of techniques specific to deep tissue massage. The most commonly used techniques are covered with illustrations and hints for performing techniques. Includes a DVD-ROM with over 1 hour of video showing the techniques described in the text. The first text on the market that delineates deep tissue routines or treatments.Provides techniques, routines, and procedures for the treatment
