Min Shen said A very good organized book. The whole structure of this text is really good. At beginning, the model of distributed system is introduced, which provides me the basic knowledge to reason with the distributed system. Based on this, many fundamental algorithms are introduced. Although the algorithms are given in pseudocode, it makes me understand the wisdom behind these algorithms more directly. After the model and algorithms, various interesting topics in the area of distributed system are introduced. Based on the understanding of previously introduced k. "As advanced CS books go, this one's a taker." according to PRZ. Excellent content, presented lucidly. Complex matter of course and not written for entertainment but to learn a trade/profession. Good balance of theory and practical examples. Only fly in ointment is the fact that good amount of examples have subtle errors in them. Probably confusing for a student. And I think they have an errata out.. Good Book The book is very well done, and give a thorough view of the distributed computing techniques and algorithms. The package arrived in perfect conditions
