More Blather than Content PJ Covington I tried reading more of this book last night, but I just can't do it. There are some helpful ideas in there but the book is extremely short on reasons, examples, or elaboration. Instead we get endless emoting and metaphors that contradict themselves twice in the same sentence. There are whole pages. You don't need to be gay to learn from this book! This book is full of practical advice to live life as your authentic self. For those of us in the LGBT community we might have an advantage in that to live as our true selves we have to make some sort of public declaration: "This is who I am". However I suspect the vast majority of humans live with. A voice for our time I met Ricky at a marketing conference last year and found him to be a wise and funny man. In the wake of the horrible tragedy in Orlando it seems serendipitous to write a review of his book. Rock's Journey is probably not an uncommon one, and yet one too many people likely undergo alone.
