"Standing up" according to tawanna l.. I loved just about everything about this book except for the bigotry I hate as I much as God hates sinbut in any school the book was written beautifully.. "A MUST HAVE AND READ!" according to Win. From the 1st page I was hooked. Both characters are strong, independent women. The secondary characters are well written.Marianne Martin is the most talented writer that I have read. This is my all time favorite book!. Well worth the read This was a little hard for me to get into, but once I did, I was glad I read it. It's almost 20 years old and you can tell in the writing style, clothing description, and the fact that a hate crime occurs before there's a such thing as hate crimes against LGBT people. It's a solid friends-to-lovers romance but I actually think it's the political side of the book that makes it important. I'm glad I read it and recommend it.I received a free copy from the publisher for an honest review at The Lesbian Review.
