Satisfying tear-jerker This book has a story within a story. The outer shell is about David, a Hollywood location scout, and Rick Sutton, his pilot, crashing on an island in the South Pacific during a storm and trying to survive until help comes. David has a crush on Rick, but Rick is standoffish and difficult to read. Within that setting, David has a dream (or a memory of a past life) about being an intelligence officer working on codebreaking in World W. Deepstar Run said Surprising.
