Five Stars Hunter Wilkins Very informative for a beginner!. "Eichenberger's "Your Pilots License" 8th" according to Caddo Flying. I recently bought this book, having owned the 7th edition that I had used quite a lot. This book is not a complete text or study guide on getting the private pilots license, you'll need another book for the real detailed items. However, I found this book to be the best for describing the process of getting the license, including a very good description of the exam process. In other words, what activities need to happen in what order, and how are they handled. It also makes a good review book for the student pilot or even the private pilot for certain. Michael Farris said A fantastic head start. This book provided me a great overview of what to expect during your training. This book also covers many of the relevant topics that will be covered more in depth during training. The books doesn't prepare you for the exams entirely but it educates you on what you will learn and also brings some practical experiences from the author. This book is great to learn terminology, general concepts and the do's and don't of flying. I would recommend reading this book during the early stages of your training before you start a ground school. Happy Flying!
