Five Stars Great book at a great price!!Thanks. "Excellent text" according to H8DeadW8. This is the textbook used by Abaris Compostite Training. Full of information on advanced composites topics-- both general concepts and repair specific information. One of the best written technical books I have ever read, with a good balance of breath and depth. This is not a step by step how-to book, it is more of a review of how the aerospace industry approaches fabricati. I loved It! eddie the book was in great condition and it will help me in my studies for my airframe power plant certification. i would recommend this to my fellow classmates.
It then goes into detail about design considerations and guidelines, various tooling concepts, manufacturing methods, and accepted repair theories and concepts. After giving a comprehensive description of what composites are and how they work, the book breaks the materials down into their constituents; different types of fibers; carbon, aramid, glass, and others; matrix materials; ceramics, thermoplastic and specifically thermoset resins and their different chemistries.
