DESCRIPTION:
Finally, some of the more exotic topics have been moved to the web site.. This revision of a top-selling textbook on feedback control with the associated web site, FPE6e, provides greater instructor flexibility and student readability. For senior-level or first-year graduate-level courses in control analysis and design, and related courses within engineering, science, and management. As in earlier editions, the book has been updated so that solutions are based on the latest versions of MATLAB and SIMULINK. Chapter 4 on A First Analysis of Feedback has been substantially rewritten to present the material in a more logical and effective manner. Feedback Control of Dynamic Systems, Sixth Edition is perfect for practicing control engineers who wish to maintain their skills. A new case study on biological control introduces an important new area to the students, and each chapter now includes a historical perspective to illustrate the origins of the field
Sucks Raj Kaye Well first off the book does not do a good job of providing sufficient examples on how to do things. On top of that the solution manual you can get online through those 2 ppl that are selling it is useless. It has all the problems worked out wrongjust my luck!. Pedagogically lacking, not for use in a first controls course calstudent I used this textbook in a senior year undergraduate controls class at UC Berkeley. The book seems to be aimed at teaching mainly the procedures and MATLAB commands to do control engineering and is very ineffective at imparting understanding that would be helpful in more advanced courses. This book may be suitable if. upchuckjunk said Horrible explanations and problems are not fully worked. Author assumes you already know material. As stated by numerous reviewers, I am using this book for a semester class in control and feedback theory. The problems are not well demonstrated. Numerous, non-algebraic steps are skipped, problems at end of chapter are either very simplistic or extremely difficult, not exp
Cases featuring actual control problems are included. From the Back CoverWhat every engineer needs to know about feedback control.Feedback Control of Dynamic Systems, 6/ecovers the material that every engineer, and most scientists and prospective managers, needs to know about feedback control, including concepts like stability, tracking, and robustness. The text also ties methods together so that a designer is able to pick the method that best fits the problem at hand. The new edition has been updated to include the latest developments in the fie
