Great book on the basics of gliding Thoroughly enjoyed this book, though it was a bit too quick of a read for me. Just moved to the UK and have started working on my glider rating. Didn't realize the author was from the UK and much of the book is written for a British reader, though the principles explained apply anywhere. The book does not go into extreme detail or into advanced techniques, but covers the basics very well.. A Customer said Wow! Best introduction to gliding yet !. This book is a wonderful and comperhenisive intro to the wonderful world of flying sailplanes. With plenty of pictures and useful information about both whys and hows of unpowered flight, this book is best intro to the soaring world yet published, highly recommened!.
