Those would be the main characters they designed.The character designs are wonderful. The variety is incredible, especially for the costumes. It's also quite a good reference. Each page has a brief paragraph intro to the artists and where the work(s) comes from.Personally, I find the title perfectly describes the art book. It is a great tool for fleshing out an artistic direction and main character design while being a good reference for posing.However, don't expect a traditional breakdown of a character's development drafts and design notes) as this is arguably a collection of promotion piec. A good sampler This is an unusual artbook. Mostly because it doesn't have an obvious theme. With other artbooks, it's usually all work from a certain franchise, or from a specific artist. This one is just all over the place. It covers everything from anime, to video games. The art selection is really great. It's like they took the best works from the best artists and threw them all together.
