Don't have one said Great. Great resource.. "well kept secret, which should not be!" according to Michigan Reviewer. File this under "You learn somethin' new everyday." And am I ever glad that I did. I never thought I was much of a fan of 1960s furniture, with the exception of Scandinavian, but I have changed m. Jean A. Beland said Review of "Paul Evans: Designer & Sculptor" by Jeffery Head. The bio on Paul Evans is interesting. I think anyone interested in Evans designs, background and techniques will find this an informative book. The pictures are wonderful.

This book will be treasured by all who have a passion for design.. His unusual furniture and sculpture stand the test of time and are displayed here in over 220 vivid photos. Raised as a Quaker in Eastern Pennsylvania, designer and sculptor Paul Evans is known for his highly unusual and yet completely functional furniture designs. Today, his work is sought by collectors, who value its style and quality. It appears classic and contemporary at the same time. Regardless of his materials, whether metal, wood, or even cardboard, his work continues to defy easy categorization. Other designers and manufacturers openly copied his work, though these copies lacked the presence Evans easily achieved. Several museums and galleries exhibited his work, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. At the height of his popularity in the mid-1970s, Evans employed nearly ninety people. Evans produced more than a dozen lines of furniture and countless design variations during his thirty-year career as a mid- to late 20th century artist and designer. It is modern and yet independent of recognizable influences
